U17 Boys vs Castaway Wanderers

We have another great game report from Coach Glenn:

After the first game of the season against our cross-town rivals turned out to be an exhibition, we closed out the first half of the league schedule yesterday at Windsor Park in Oak Bay. Both teams had key players missing but the big blue machine kept the red stripes on their back foot for the majority of the game. Lots of continuity with the ball in hand with the Bays relentlessly pounding crash balls off the ruck each possession than spinning it out to the backs for the inevitable overlap. It was nonstop with seven different players scoring tallies: Kynaston and Tran twice plut Driscoll notching four of nine conversions. CW’s only try came on an interception deep in the CW half but the game could be summed up as bears feeding on spawning salmon and one managed to get through, we just continued to feast.

Lead scorer Noah Kynaston

We are heading in to the bye week in first place with 120 pts for and 17 against. Back row player, Noah Kynaston, is the leading scorer, but eleven different players have scored tries (fourteen if you include the two exhibition games) so our boys have DEPTH.

Next up is CW at home on November 21st. Should be a good one.
