Delaney Down Under

JBAA recently helped support Delaney Woods, one of our U19 Female players, make her way to New Zealand to play with the BC Elite Sevens team in the World School Sevens tournament.

Delaney sent us this message about her experience:

We finished the tournament yesterday only losing one game out of the six we played, so we came 5th out of 16! Sadly I didn’t get as much playing time as I would have hoped because I broke my nose in the first game, but I still got on the field even after that and was very happy. Today is our last day and we are going to the beach, I’m very excited. Tomorrow we fly home and this time it’s a direct flight from Auckland to Vancouver which is quite nice! I’ve had a blast here and am sad to go, but looking forward to Christmas with my family. Thank you for everything!

We are proud to support our players and it’s great to see where their talent and passion for the game will take them. Congratulations, Delaney, and we hope your nose heals quickly!
