Code of Conduct

As we are about to start a new season of rugby, now it s great time to remind all members - players, coaches, executive, volunteers, parents - that James Bay Athletic Association believes in and is bound by the BC Rugby Code of Conduct.

A code of conduct is a set of rules outlining the norms, rules, and responsibilities or proper practices of an individual party or an organization.

All of our registered members who complete a Sportlomo registration declare they have read and agree to the BC Rugby Code of Conduct. We also know that it is very easy to skip over and simply agree to what you are being asked without the meaning sinking in. For that reason we feel it’s important to emphasize the importance of the Code. This is what you agree to during the Sportlomo registration:

All members, individuals and organisations, are required to abide by BC Rugby's Code of Conduct. The Code covers a wide range of responsibilities under four key values: Safety, Integrity, Respect & Inclusion for All. It specifies key responsibilities for players, parents, coaches, officials and leaders, as well as including the process to lodge a complaint for infractions of the Code.
